Coming out: Jenna Wolfe, 39, weekend anchor of NBC’s “Today,” and foreign correspondent Gosk, 40, who on Wednesday became the latest national news personalities to announce that they are gay – oh, and also have been dating each other for three years and are now engaged and expecting a baby.
Wolfe appeared on “Today” to make the announcement and kept the focus on universal topics like strollers and breast pumps and her plans for a pregnancy blog; in a coordinated People story, the couple talked more about what their announcement means: “I didn’t want to bring my daughter into a world where I’m not comfortable telling everyone who I am and who her mother is,” Wolfe said. CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon and ABC’s Sam Champion are among the other news broadcasters who have come out recently; last year, MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts became the first anchorman to have a same-sex marriage
