Ah, the celebrity dog walk. It’s an opportunity for our favorite stars to keep their pups happy while also keeping us happy by showing off their latest fits. Everyone from Emily Ratajkowski to Kate Moss has mastered the art of treating a sidewalk stroll like a runway, and this past Wednesday, Irina Shayk joined the fun when she stepped out with her pup in tow, wearing a look that gave the cowgirl trend a city spin.
The fashion model was spotted in New York City wearing a playful fit that was comprised of different blacks and blues. Shayk started with a dark-wash denim button-up dotted with distressed holes, which she tucked into royal-blue short shorts with scalloped hems.

Over top of the denim shirt, the Hercules actor added an even darker blue smock, which she left hanging open. The piece featured curving edges along the bottom, and Shayk chose to roll the sleeves of her denim shirt up over the cuffs of her top layer.

But while the denim and short shorts were already giving hoedown, the Russian star decided to take it even further by adding a pair of showstopping cowboy boots. Reaching all the way up to her knees, these black, scrunchy shoes included steel toes and leather details on the feet that were studded with silver grommets. Finally, they featured a line of fringe along the top, which bounced as Shayk walked.
The model accessorized with a pair of black shades, large silver hoop earrings, and a pendant necklace with a cross. Oh, and partway through her walk, she added one final accessory, when she picked up her furry companion and carried the dog like a clutch (a move we’ve been seeing many stars use as of late).
